Can coffee raise homocysteine levels? I’ve read caffine alone doesn’t. but that the acid in coffee can?

    Hi Lisa –

Never heard that. Caffeine utilizes a lot of nutrients to process – so perhaps indirectly it can raise homocysteine, deplete electrolytes, deplete B vitamins and reduce blood flow to the brain….truly.

Definitely not a great thing to be drinking when one has some serious genetic difficulties.

Pantothenic Acid is what I use for ‘coffee’ when I feel tired – that along with a B Complex.
