Jennie Fowler

I have just discovered that I’m homozygous c677t and many of my symptoms are now making sense. I’m 43 and last year began taking Wellbutrin (after professing for years that I was “anti anti-depressants”. ;-) It has helped in many ways w/ patience and focus but now that I’m needing to reassess everything relative to this MTHFR finding, I’m wondering if it is something I should continue taking. I guess my question is more relevant to my immediate future: is it harmful for me to take it (at all given this mutation) and is it harmful to take it w/ methl folate supplementation? Thank you.

Hello Jennie-

It is best to talk with your doctor about weaning off of Wellbutrin and switching to methylfolate/methylcobalamin/pyridoxal-5-phosphate.

You may actually notice that these nutrients are superior to the Wellbutrin.

Take a look at HomocysteX Plus by Seeking Health.

If you find this too strong, consider the lighter version of HomocysteX.

It is a good idea to start with HomocysteX for a month and then try HomocysteX Plus for a few weeks and see which one does better for you.
