i was diagnosed with heterozyous mthf about 4 years ago along with some stuff and they never explained to me what exactly is is! the only thing the doctor said was its a clotting disorder, but its not a big deal! i believe i have the right to know what i have and all that goes with it and whats going on in me! please help me to know waht this really means! thank u

Ashley –

You likely have 1 copy of the C677T MTHFR mutation. This is the variant of MTHFR that is closely linked to clotting issues – more so if one has 2 copies.

You may have some other clotting disorders like Factor V Leiden. Please contact your doctor and get copies of your labs. You do have the right to know.
